Les cépages de champagne
Le Chardonnay
Cultivated mainly on the Côte des Blancs, it is the only variety with white grapes. Young, its finesse gives floral, sometimes mineral notes. Due to its slow evolution, it is particularly suitable for long ageing. It represents 29.5% of the vineyard.
Le Pinot noir
It largely covers the Montagne de Reims and the entire Côte des Bar. Black grape with white juice, it gives aromas of red fruits and gives the blend body and power. This variety represents 38.3% of the vineyard.
Le Meunier
Mainly located in the Marne Valley, it brings suppleness, fruitiness, intensity and roundness to the bouquet. Like Pinot Noir, Meunier is a black grape with white juice. This variety represents 31.9% of the vineyard.
