Pouilly Fumé – AOC –

Pouilly Fumé, a strange name for a wine! And yet, here in Pouilly-sur-Loire, the Sauvignon grape variety unfolds a complexity and range of aromas that is still unsurpassed.

The dry and fruity white wine Pouilly Fumé is noble. In the bottle, it reproduces the inimitable taste of the Pouilly terroir with its “fiery” aromas. Minerality and fruitiness characterize this wine!

Pouilly’s terroir is millions of years old and consists of Kimmeridge marl, hard limestone and pebbles. This composition gives the Pouilly Fumé its minerality and delicacy, as well as its character, which is sometimes fresh and lively, sometimes open and long in the mouth, always maintaining an omnipresent fruity note. It combines flavors of citrus fruits (lemon, grapefruit), fruits from this and other areas (currant, peach from the vineyard, passion fruit, lychee), white flowers (acacia, lily), as well as nuts or quince.
